Hydroseeding is a planting process in which a slurry containing seed, hydroseeding mulch, fertilizer and a tackifier (bonding agent) is sprayed onto the ground. The slurry is transported in a truck-mounted tank to the job site and sprayed over prepared ground in a uniform layer. It promotes quick germination and inhibits soil erosion. It is also a very cost effective alternative to sod and offers a significant cost savings as well as many other benefits. HydroStraw® Cellulose Fiber Plus is a hydraulically applied mulch with a specially formulated composition of annually renewable wheat straw fibers, cellulose fibers, natural fibers for fiber matrix entanglement, and a non-toxic soil stabilizer.
HydroStraw Guar Plus is designed to provide extra protection on difficult sites where slopes, soil conditions or weather call for extra erosion control ability. It also includes a high-strength polymer binder to ensure smooth hydro seeder operation. This pre-blended product eliminates the extra step and mess of field mixing, Guar Gum pre-mix eliminates the “fish-eyes” that can form with in field mixing making the tackifier more effective.
HydroStraw Bonded Fiber Matrix is designed to be more cost effective than blankets and cost less to apply per acre than conventional BFM mulches on difficult sites, slopes, and adverse soil conditions where extra erosion prevention is needed. The product includes long natural fibers for maximum matrix entanglement for improved performance. The combination of fiber entanglement in conjunction with our cross linked high-strength polymer binders produce great erosion prevention and vegetation establishment.
HydroStraw® All In 1 addresses the biological, chemical, and physical requirements for stabilizing and restoring vegetation on disturbed soil sites, as well as controlling erosion during vegetation establishment.
HydroStraw® All In 1 consists of heat and mechanically treated wheat straw fibers which are environmentally safe, biodegradable and produced from annually renewable materials combined with a non-toxic brown colorant as an application aid. The porous matrix of the wheat straw encourages water infiltration, enabling the new seedlings to easily pass thru the matrix. The combination of the wheat straw fibers together with our cross-linked high strength polymer binders provides effective erosion prevention and increased vegetation establishment.
